- The Thompson™ 9 Cassette can hold 9 instruments and features the double-hinged, tuck-away lid for easy storage during procedures. Each cassette is manufactured with passivated surgical-grade stainless steel to guard against corrosion and to help protect instruments. A strip of medical grade silicone is attached to the lid to provide color coding and retention of contents when the lid is closed.

I purchased these for my lapidary work. They help me see clearly while grinding and polishing stones while maintaining good posture. Not your typical buyer for dental loupes, but they are awesome for seeing fine details at a comfortable arms length. Perfect for artists! I plan to get a set of the hygienist loupes for when I’m at my jeweler’s bench working. For this application, I feel I need the closer focal length and wider focal field. The 3.5 x are better for arms length to see a smaller focal field more magnified.
