I purchased this light to fit the new premium loupes I had acquired after my dental student loupes broke. If I had my time again I would not buy this LED and premium system again.
The LumFlex light and premium loupes together are heavy and give me a headache after wearing them for 30 minutes or so. Also the clipping of the light onto the glasses is fiddly. Sometimes when I clip on the glasses the light emitted at its lowest projected angle does not fully cover the field of vision I want.
All up the system of this premium loupe with the LED LumFlex was very expensive and I would have been far better to repurchase a new set of student's loupes or similar system at the cheaper end, as they were great and I was very happy with those.
I would not recommend this system but would recommend the cheaper ones. Plus I was caught out with the cost which is advertised in US dollars and this was not pointed out at the time of purchase (before finally processing the amount) so I got a bit of a shock when I purchased the goods to see what they actually cost me.
The LumFlex has a great battery charge system though the charging plug is for a UK power point. The company, Dental Assessories, was great to deal with did send an Australian adapter. I will purchase form this company again but just not this system.
I am dental hygienist and I love this light. It works just as well as my light from orascoptic and is cordless. I am just always trying to charge it because I don’t think it will last the whole day, so I might have to get another one for the second part of the day.
Very good product hands free
A great little lightweight clip on light for your loupes providing your choice of 4 different light strengths. It holds a charge for several days at a time and is easy to recharge. I have recommended this light to several colleagues and everyone is happy with it!
As a dental hygienist, I rely heavily on my loupes. Generally, headlights for loupes can be upwards of $1500 or more. However, this light performs just as well as the expensive loupe lights at the fraction of the cost. The light attaches well to my loupes I've had for over 13 years. The only downside is the orange filter for curing lights broke off but I do not need it anyways. Definitely recommend!

I purchased these for my lapidary work. They help me see clearly while grinding and polishing stones while maintaining good posture. Not your typical buyer for dental loupes, but they are awesome for seeing fine details at a comfortable arms length. Perfect for artists! I plan to get a set of the hygienist loupes for when I’m at my jeweler’s bench working. For this application, I feel I need the closer focal length and wider focal field. The 3.5 x are better for arms length to see a smaller focal field more magnified.
