- Formerly Diapex, DiaPex Plus is the same trusted calcium hydroxide paste with iodoform that has been used by many dentists around the world. I purchased these for my lapidary work. They help me see clearly while grinding and polishing stones while maintaining good posture. Not your typical buyer for dental loupes, but they are awesome for seeing fine details at a comfortable arms length. Perfect for artists! I plan to get a set of the hygienist loupes for when I’m at my jeweler’s bench working. For this application, I feel I need the closer focal length and wider focal field. The 3.5 x are better for arms length to see a smaller focal field more magnified.
